This striking decorative alabaster plaque is richly embellished with gilded relief ornament and applied green, red, and white semi-precious stones, arranged in a symmetrical, medalion-like design. The intricate patterning and jewel-like surface reflect the luxurious aesthetic associated with Indian and Middle Eastern decorative arts of the late 19th to early 20th century.

The plaque’s central motif is formed from concentric rings of gilded detailing, inset with polished stones that catch and reflect light, creating a strong visual rhythm and ceremonial presence.
