Leans Gallery Paintings, antiques and objects of art Since 1949 - 07846710760 Exquisite Porcelain Figural Group “ The Three Graces, Late 19th Century (Possibly Dresden) A finely modelled porcelain figural group depicting The Three Graces, emblematic of beauty, charm, and creativity, rendered in the Neoclassical style. The trio stands gracefully entwined, one figure delicately crowning the central muse with a floral garland. Each figure is exquisitely draped in flowing, gilded robes that shimmer with a rich, lustrous sheen, contrasting beautifully with the soft white porcelain of their skin. The group rests upon an oval base edged with a gilt band and adorned with small applied blossoms, reflecting the refined artistry and romantic elegance characteristic of late 19th-century Dresden porcelain. Bearing an underglaze blue crowned œN mark to the underside, this exceptional piece is likely of Dresden manufacture, circa 1890“1910. Material: Porcelain with gildingHeight: Approx. 25 cmCondition: Excellent, with fine details and gilding beautifully preserved. A magnificent decorative and collectable piece, embodying the grace and harmony of the classical tradition. The mark consists of a crown placed above two interlaced letters (which appear to be 'K' and 'P', or possibly 'F' and 'R') with a small cross over the crown. The mark most closely resembles variations used by the Royal Porcelain Factory, Berlin (KPM), or other important European factories with royal patronage, such as the Dresden marks that sometimes imitate Meissen. However, the specific mark of a crowned cypher with interlaced letters is a strong indication of a German or Austrian royal manufacturer. Given the style of the cypher (which looks like a crowned 'FR' or 'PR'), it strongly suggests: Königliche Porzellan-Manufaktur (KPM) Berlin (Royal Porcelain Factory, Berlin), which has used cyphers under a crown. The mark may also be an imitation mark common in the 19th and 20th centuries, as factories like Meissen and Sèvres were copied extensively.   Buyers outside the UK may be required to pay import duties, taxes, or fees depending on their country™s regulations.
